My Italian Butter
Butter flavoured EVOO, garlic and herbs perk up the taste of hot bread, potatoes, or veggies. Brush on meats when grilling or broiling, toss with rice, potatoes or corn-on-the-cob. So simple, so delicious!
INGREDIENTS
1/2 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp dried basil
1/2 fresh, finely chopped rosemary leaves
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
1/4 tsp cracked black pepper
1/2 cup Glasses & Grapes Butter EVOO
Fresh minced or crushed garlic
Pinch of salt
For the herbs, I go with dried, except for the rosemary. Dried rosemary is tough and it takes a long time to soften in liquid, so I always use fresh rosemary in this dip.
DIRECTIONS
Mix the garlic into the herbs and spices and then transfer the mix to a small shallow bowl or appetizer plate for serving. Pour EVOO on top, let herbs soften and serve with warm crusty bread.
