Sweet Jamaican Jerk Pulled Pork
Tender and juicy with the perfect heat-to-sweet ratio. Perfect for #tacotuesday, in a sandwich, on top of nachos - the possibilities are endless!
3 lb boneless pork shoulder
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
3/4 cup ketchup
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup brown sugar
2-3 Tbsp of Organic Sweet Jamaican Jerk
Salt & pepper to taste, optional
Cut the pork into 2-3 inch cubes and place in a bowl.
Add Organic Sweet Jamaican Jerk and toss until pork is evenly coated.
Mix the remaining ingredients (except the onion) and add to the pork.
Place the onions along the bottom of the slow cooker, and add the pork and all of the liquid on top. Cook on high until the pork shreds with a fork (roughly 5 hours).
Carefully lift the meat into a large bowl or dish. Shred the meat using two forks (remove any large pieces of fat/gristle). Taste and add additional Organic Sweet Jamaican Jerk to taste.
